NY York Blue Blues Print has been selected as part of the AMBIENT LIGHT: a natural luminosity exhibition, running September 8th-October 27th, 2013 at the MPLS Photo Centre, Minneapolis
Entered a number of BW prints in this international contest. The print GRAND CENTRAL NOIR won first place in the architectural category. I also had a number of prints make it to the finalist category. Including one of my favorite that made it as a finalist in the photo journalism category - ALONE.
I created a few of the blue series pictures mostly NY, I have had many positive comments on the series including one artist who used it for a backdrop for a painting that he did. The piece is on deviant art at this link, check out his other work while you are there, he is extremely talented.

One of my photos was selected for inclusion in the Online exhibition for "Creatures" showing at the Kiernan Gallery. CREATURES - Lexington, Virginia.
Creatures February 27 - March 23
"From beloved pets to exotic wildlife, animals hold a certain fascination for photographers. They serve us as faithful guardians, trusted steeds, and loyal family members. We invoke them to highlight human traits both good and bad, but also search for our humanity within them. Photographing both the tame and the wild, we seek kinship that cannot be communicated with words. Whether as taxidermies for study, pets for companionship, or out in the wild, for Creatures, the Kiernan Gallery seeks photographs that depict our complex relationship with the animal kingdom."
My photo is "Harris Hawk" and while it did not make the main exhibition it was a complete surprise and honor that it made the online gallery during the exhibition. There are some wonderful photographs in both the main exhibit and the online exhibit. [link]
My photo is included in the Exhibition Catalog page 29. [link]
Looks like a great exhibition if anyone lives close by, if not it is worth taking time to browse the site. [link]
Thank you to Kat Kiernan and Anne Berry, the juror for including my photo.
